7th “Friend” Awards for Service to Islam

At the 2011 "Friends" Service to Islam Awards night, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was honored. 1440th anniversary of the birth of Muhammad (PBUH) On the occasion of this year, the topic of "The Love of the Prophet by the Ottoman Sultans" was discussed.

2011 "Friends" Service to Islam Award from the USA for his book "Memories of Muhammad: Why the Prophet Matters" Prof. Dr. Omid Safi and Prof . Dr. Emine Yeniterzifor her works titled "Na'tlar in Turkish Literature" and "Na't in Divan Poetry".

On February 13, 2011, the Mehterân Team took part in the opening of the night held at the Harbiye Hall of the Istanbul Congress Center. The opening speeches were made by Cemâlnur Sargut, President of TURKKAD Istanbul Branch, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez, President of Religious Affairs and Prof. Dr. İskender Pala.

Before the award ceremony, the "Yüzpâre Exhibition"consisting of the works of Elizabeth Madzar and her students, including portraits of the sultan, was opened in the foyer of the Istanbul Congress Center.

The program ended with a concert by Lâ Edrî.
