The symposium, in which the values that carry the Turkish family from past to present were discussed, was held on June 18, 2006 at Cemal Reşit Rey Congress and Culture Center.
In the panel where the photo exhibition"We are a Family Turkey" consisting of black and white family photographs was presented to the guests, the structure of the Turkish family from past to present was discussed by experts.
The symposium, organized jointly by AİLEM Association and TÜRKKAD Istanbul Branch, opened with a cinevision show, followed by speeches by Prof. Dr. Kenan Gürsoy on "The Ethical Meaning of the Concept of Family", Prof. Dr. Beylü Dikeçligil on "Privileges and Responsibilities in Social Life from Family to Society", Prof. Dr. Davut Dursun on "The Effects of Television Broadcasts on the Family" and Sadık Yalsızuçanlar on "Family: An Eternal Institution" participated in the program with their speeches.
